Jordan Williams serves as Organist and Choirmaster. Jordan took over the console at St. Matthias’ in early 2014. He brings nearly 20 years of experience as a church musician. Williams is a native of Port Neches, Texas, east of Houston. He began piano study in the first grade and organ study in seventh grade. Jordan played his first church service at the age of 13. He’s since served parishes large and small in varying denominations.
Jordan’s full-time work as a journalist brought him to Western New York in 2013. If you’re an early bird, catch him broadcasting weekday mornings on News 4, WIVB-TV. His television career has led him to him to several unique destinations, but he has enjoyed church work every step of the way. Jordan was confirmed as an Episcopalian in 2008 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Oklahoma City.
He’s a 2003 graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He studied organ with Dr. David Heller and majored in music and communication. He’s a proud member of the American Guild of Organists and the Association of Anglican Musicians.
