Music is integral in the life of St. Matthias’ Church. We proudly worship in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition and believe music to be one of the Church’s greatest gifts.

The adult choir sings at Sunday Eucharists from September through June. The volunteer choir unites to sing God’s praises, and the group’s extensive repertoire ranges from  plainsong chants to new American choral compositions.

The choir gathers at 9:15 a.m. to rehearse before the 10:00 Eucharist. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:30 until 8:00 in the church. Membership in our adult choir is open to everyone. The choir offers Evensong services in the spring and fall and a Festival of Lessons and Carols in December.

Organist and Choirmaster Jordan Williams welcomes musicians of all skill levels to share their talents whenever possible. Our youth provide splendid prelude music annually at our 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Eucharist.

Saint Matthias’ Church also proudly hosts the Roycroft Chamber Music Festival annually in June.
