Pet Food Pantry Receives Offering; More Needed

The Saint Matthias’ Pet Food Pantry recently received a wonderful gift from the Diocese of Western New York! They were ministry of the Southern Erie Deanery chosen to receive the loose offering from the convention Eucharist: a generous $1,101.10.

This comes at a critical time, as Purina has discontinued production of the cat food that was being distributed. Although we are assured that this should start up again, in the meantime they are purchasing cat food in larger bags and making bundles to be given to those in need.

If you are so moved as to make an offering to the Pantry, your offering will be gratefully received. It is most helpful to provide funds rather than food so as to maintain continuity of quality/brand. Checks should be made payable to the Saint Matthias’ Church, with a memo for the Pet Food Pantry. (Please use a separate envelope than your pledge envelope so the Counters can clearly identify where the funds should go.)

Many thanks to our Diocese, and to all of you for your support of this extraordinary ministry!
