As we enter the season of Advent, our crowded calendars remind us that Christ is
coming, and soon!
Our parish choir is hard at work preparing music for A Festival of Lessons and Carols. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, December 17 at 4 p.m.
We invite you to join us for a mysterious and magical journey. We’ll read scriptures and respond with carols. If you’ve never attended a service like this, you’re in for a real treat. We
promise it will help put you in the right mind and spirit to prepare for the great feast of Christmas. The service is based on one that has been sung annually for the last century at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England.
The program includes music by Paul Manz, Harold Darke, Healey Willan, and our own Charlie Brown. The choir will premiere a “Prairie Carol” which features entirely new music paired with text by Frieda Major. It’s hauntingly beautiful.
Please invite your friends and families. The service is kid-friendly with plenty of breaks for singing!
Oh, and did I mention there’s a FESTIVE reception afterward? There is!
See on the 17th at 4 p.m.
