Barry and Heather Dietsch are very glad to be joining the church family as Director of Music and Organist, having filled the same positions with the First Presbyterian Church in Warren, PA. for the past 12 1/2 years. Previous to that, they were Directors of Music for many years at two area United Churches of Christ, Barry in Angola and Heather in Gowanda. They both hold Master of Music degrees, Heather in piano performance from Bowling Green and Barry in vocal performance from Fredonia.
Heather is presently a music teacher at Parkdale Elementary School and Barry is a retired music teacher from Lake Shore Central School. They bring a love for serving God through church music, particularly choral music, and are very excited to work with our choir. They took part in a choir rehearsal in November and “are looking forward to working with the fine people of the St. Matthias choir and continuing the great musical tradition of the church.” They look forward to being part of the church family along with their seventh grade daughter Natalie. They also have adult children in Hamburg and Chicago. They will begin serving the church in early January.
