Bishop Bill Franklin made his parish visitation on Sunday, July 10. In his sermon, the Bishop thanked St. Matthias’ for serving as a leading parish in the South Towns.
Two of our members were confirmed and two others were received formally into The Episcopal Church.
The Bishop also blessed our new Mission Statement. Copies are now placed at our three main entrances to remind us of our purpose each time we make our way back out into the world. A lovely garden reception hosted by the Vestry followed.
